He is survived by his son, Robert; daughters Barbara Brown and Joyce
Johnson; sisters Wanda Chapman and Fay Lee; 11 grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 29 at First Southern Baptist Church in North
Hollywood. Interment followed at Valhalla Cemetery, North Hollywood.
WINIFRED M. BALLERIA
Winifred M. Balleria, 78, died Dec. 28, 1999 in Burbank.
Mrs. Balleria was born in Illinois and lived in Timonium, Md. before
moving to Burbank a year ago. She worked for 30 years as a bookkeeper for
Texaco prior to retiring.
She is survived by her son, John, and cousin Francie Myers of Burbank.
Services and interment will be in Timonium.
ORVILLE D. ESSENPREIS
Orville D. Essenpreis, 89, died Dec. 30, 1999, in Burbank.
Mr. Essenpreis was born in Highland, Ill., and lived in Burbank for a
year and a half. He was a convenience store owner.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian, and son Larry of Toluca Lake.
Services and interment will be in Highland.
LUCAS J. BORNER
Lucas J. Borner, 2 1/2, died Jan. 3, 2000, in a Duarte hospital.
Lucas was born in Los Angeles and lived in Burbank.
He is survived by his parents, Gustavo and Yolanda of Burbank; brother
Sebastian, and grandparents Angel and Alicia Borner of Burbank and
Francis and Yolanda Kinney.
Service and interment were private. Eckerman-Heisman Funeral Service
was in charge of arrangements.
VESPA E. FAIRBANKS
Vespa E. Fairbanks, 95, died Jan. 3, 2000, in Redlands.
Mrs. Fairbanks was born in Salt Lake City and lived in Burbank for 75
yeas. Prior to retiring, she worked for 12 years as a secretary for
Goodyear Tire and Rubber.
She is survived by her husband, Walter; son Lynn of Burbank; sisters
Velora Wells and Zola Johnson; four grandchildren; and many
great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints in Burbank. Eckerman-Heisman Funeral Service was in charge of
arrangements.
ROBERT S. BENNETT
Robert S. Bennett, 39, died Jan. 4, 2000, in Panorama City.
Mr. Bennett was a lifetime resident of Burbank and worked for 18 years
as a press operator at Color West.
