Kozy Korner Thai Food offers some of the best food in town at
unbeatable prices. Everything is less than $7 and most of the entrees are
just less than $5.
This small restaurant, just two doors down from another good Thai
restaurant, has just eight tables, though I have always been able to get
a seat.
The dish that got me hooked was their yum nua or beef salad ($4.99).
It is a spicy salad with slices of beef, cucumber, onions, tomato and
cilantro in a tasty, oil-free sauce. Let your server know how spicy you
would like it and you won't be disappointed. One order, along with some
rice, makes a nice dinner for two.
The pad Thai ($4.75) is a generous helping of flavorful pan-fried
noodles with your choice of meat. I would recommend the chicken. Another
noodle dish that may agree with your palate is the pad kee mao ($4.99).
These spicy noodles also come with your choice of meat. The noodles are
great, but the mint leaves were just not the taste mixture I was looking
for.
If you enjoy the taste of basil, you will need to try the eggplant
with basil leaves ($4.75). This dish is loaded with flavor.
Kozy Korner also has its share of Chinese dishes.
The kung pao ($4.99) and orange chicken ($4.99) are on par with any
restaurant I have dined at in the area.
If you like fried rice -- and I do -- then a side order is a must. The
$1 side order is made when you order it and is a real treat.
Dinners at the restaurant include a salad and a small dessert. The
lunch specials, served 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. cost $4.75 and include rice and
an egg roll.
Everything on the menu is also available for take out or delivery.
