the Vagabonds, a group of women whose daughters have graduated from the
program. The mothers have created a strong bond and continue to meet
every month. They also continue to support Charity League activities,

In December, the Vagabonds organized the Le Bal de Noel holiday dinner
dance for the chapter at The Castaway. They secured a live band for the
evening, something that hadn't been done in recent years.
Vagabonds attending the tea were Phyllis Ainsworth, Georgine Archer,
Marcia Baroda, Betty Battey, Linda Bowman, Sue Copp, Judi Gascoigne, Eva
Hackett, Joy Hall, Sally Hooper, Estela Ihlenfeldt, Janet Killian, Gwen
Kubasak, Lynne Meares, Kay Merrick, Kathy Plank, Tami Sagona, Fran Scott,
Toni Scurria, Toni Shepherd, Sharon Terranova, Mary Lou Wagner and

responsibilities, and worked with the rest of the Ticktocker membership
planning food, entertainment, favors and other details. The grade level
patroness tea chairwomen were 12th grade, Mariela Vinas; 11th grade,
Missy Wilson; 10th grade, Lori Hirata; ninth grade, Phyllis Forsch;
eighth grade, Carol Cwik; and seventh grade, Keiko Hishinuma.
Ticktocker tea chairwomen were 12th grade, Angela Eager; 11th grade,
Stephanie Snowden; 10th grade, Erin Klinthong; ninth grade Heather
Hishinuma; eighth grade, Kristina Barragan; and seventh grade, Tyla
Margaret McMullen is president.
The inspirational was read by Jackie Kritch, Ticktocker 12th grade
president. Mistress of ceremonies was Victoria Pinero.
Following the serving of finger sandwiches, desserts, punch and tea,
musical entertainment was performed by the Ticktockers, including an
instrumental performance of Handel's "Bourree" by seventh grade
Ticktockers on piano, violin, two cellos and flute.
Some of the charities supported by Charity League are Burbank
Temporary Aid Center, YMCA Child Care Center and America Red Cross.
The Burbank African Violet Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the
Magnolia Park United Methodist Church, 2828 W. Magnolia Blvd.
