City still seeking applicants

CIVIC CENTER -- The Burbank City Council is still seeking to fill

several positions for commissions, boards and committees.

Applications are being taken through May 8.

There are three vacancies on the five-member Heritage Commission. One

person is sought with experience in historic preservation, one person is

needed from the business community and one from the general population.

Terms are four years.

There are three vacancies on the Traffic and Transportation Committee;

terms are two years. Four people are needed to fill the Senior Citizen

Board; terms are four years. The Community Development Goals Committee

has five vacancies; terms are four years. The city's Civic Pride

Committee also has five vacancies; terms are two years. And the Art in

Public Places Committee has two vacancies for a four-year term.

Applications can be picked up at the city clerk's office in City Hall,

275 E. Olive Ave. The appointments will be made at the May 23 City

Council meeting.

The unpaid positions are for residents of Burbank.
