MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH -- The Burbank Parks, Recreation and Community
Service Department is offering a Lifeguard Training Class involving four
sessions at McCambridge Park Pool, 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd. The first
session is Saturday.
The cost of the course is $90 for Burbank residents and $100 for
nonresidents. Participants must be at least 15 years old. Registration is
being accepted between 12 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the
Olive Recreation Center Sports Office, 1111 W. Olive Ave., Burbank.
To obtain certification, participants must attend all four sessions.
The sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. on April 8, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 15, and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on
April 19.
Space is limited. Depending on the response to this course, another
may be scheduled in May, park officials said.
