EILEEN CELESTE RACKSTRAW
Eileen Celeste Rackstraw, 81, died March 23, 2000 in Burbank.
Mrs. Rackstraw was born in Jersey City, N.J. She was a Burbank
resident for 57 years and worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's
Hospital for 37 years. She was a member of the Patricians of St.
Patrick's Church in North Hollywood.
She is survived by daughters Barbara Ellis (Richard), Joan Hunsinger
(Buddy) and Connie Sterling (James); sons George Rackstraw (Danielle) and
William Rackstraw (Susan); eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A Mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church.
MERRELL E. HOPPE
Merrell E. Hoppe, 63, died March 19, 2000 at his home.
Mr. Hoppe lived in Burbank for three years. He worked as a carpenter
for 10 years before retiring.
He is survived by daughters, Jill and Jennifer; sons, David, John and
Daniel; mother, Grace; sister, Marlene; and three grandchildren.
Private services were arranged by Forest Lawn Mortuary Hollywood
Hills.
SYLVIA E. SHERREL
Sylvia E. Sherrel, 91, died March 24, 2000 in a Gulf Breeze, Fla.
hospital.
Mrs. Sherrel lived in Burbank for 53 years. She was a homemaker and a
member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Burbank Chapter 352, and a Rob
Morris Award Member with a 50-year pin.
Mrs. Sherrel was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John F.
Sherrel; son, John F. Sherrel, II; and grandson, Thomas J. Nunno.
She is survived by daughter Toni Nunno; grandsons, Todd and Timothy
Nunno and John F. Sherrel III; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Kelly,
Jereme and Jensen.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon and funeral services will
begin at noon Thursday at Eckerman-Heisman Funeral Service Chapel.
Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
JOHN CHARLES TAMULONIS John Charles Tamulonis, 45, died March 26,
2000.
Mr. Tamulonis was born and raised in Burbank. He graduated from
Burbank High School in 1972 and went on to work for NBC Studios. He
invested in Burbank real estate for 30 years.
Mr. Tamulonis is survived by his mother, Carolyn; brother, Paul; and
sister, Francis Nace.
A private wake will be held Saturday.
