There are openings at more than 10 locations, ranging from San Diego

to Yosemite National Park.

Workers receive minimum wage, minus costs for boarding and meals if

they are in the residential program.

Corps members can also receive high school diplomas and college credit

for the program. College scholarships are available for corps alumni.

The corps, created in 1976, is modeled after the Civilian Conservation

Corps of the 1930s.
