Spots open on Downtown Parking Committee

CIVIC CENTER -- The Burbank City Council is accepting applications for

two vacant positions on the Downtown Parking Management Committee.

In collaboration with staff from the Public Works, Community

Development and Police departments, the committee will make

recommendations for the Downtown Parking Management Plan.

The committee is made up of a transportation commissioner, a Planning

Board member, a representative of the Downtown Stakeholders Assn., a

representative from the Media City Center mall and a representative from

each of the eight blocks bounded by Angeleno Avenue, First Street,

Magnolia Boulevard and Third Street.

The openings are for a representative from Block 2, bounded by Palm

and Orange Grove avenues, San Fernando Boulevard and First Street, and

Block 5, bounded by Angeleno and Olive avenues, San Fernando Boulevard

and Third Street.

Applications are available at the city clerk's office in City Hall,

275 E. Olive Ave. The deadline for application submissions is July 7.

Positions are scheduled to be appointed at the July 18 City Council

meeting.
