The first position will cover the block encompassed by Palm and Orange

Grove avenues and San Fernando Boulevard and First Street. The second

position will cover the area bounded by Angeleno and Olive avenues and

San Fernando Boulevard and Third Street.

"We were specifically looking for business owners or property owners

within the Village that are interested in downtown parking issues,"

Public Works' traffic engineer Erik ZanDvliet said.

The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m. Friday at the city

clerk's office in City Hall, 275 E. Olive Ave. Applications are available

at the office.

The selections are scheduled to be announced at the Aug. 1 City

Council meeting.
