HELEN P. BENKOVSKY
Helen P. Benkovsky, 82, died, July 20, 2000, in Burbank.
Mrs. Benkovsky was born in Morgantown, W.Va. She was a Burbank
resident for 55 years. She was a homemaker for 57 years. She involved
with the NOVA Opportunity Center and she was both a den mother in the Cub
Scouts and a Brownie leader.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Libby; son,
William; grandchildren Kristina Matheson and Karen Brown; and
great-grandchildren, Taylor and Mollie Matheson. Her husband, Francis
Benkovsky, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Valley Funeral Home
Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Magnolia Park Methodist
Church, 2828 W. Magnolia Blvd.
SHARON KAY FLORES
Sharon Kay Flores, 48, died July 23, 2000, in Burbank.
Mrs. Flores was born in Anderson, Ind. She was a Burbank resident for
40 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran
Church. She will be remembered for her commitment to aid all those in
need.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, David Flores; daughter and
son-in-law, Lisa Flores and Erik Hansen; daughter and son-in-law Jamie
Flores and Scott Meadows; daughters, Andrea, Darlene and Jackie; son,
Christopher; parents, Arthur and Beverly Berg; sister and brother-in-law,
Brenda and David Dyke; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Ken
Stonecypher; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's
Lutheran Church, in Glendale.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan J. Komen Breast
Cancer Foundation.
