Lyndol and Eileen Vogt of Burbank celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary on July 29 with a family dinner at Gennaro's Restaurant in
Glendale.
Following graduation from Burbank High School, Lyndol attended
Glendale Community College. Eileen graduated from Glendale High School.
They met while roller-skating with friends at the Moonlight Roller Rink
in Glendale. They were married on July 29, 1950.
Lyndol worked for many years thoughout the Valley as an aerospace
engineer. He has several patents for aircraft parts, including one that
is used on the Space Shuttle. He retired four years ago. Since his
retirement, the couple have enjoyed taking many cruises throughout Europe
and the Caribbean.
The couple have two children. Their daughter and son-in-law are
Lynette and Bill Ballas, and their son and daughter-in-law are Stephen
and Nita Vogt. They also have two grandsons, Jonathan and Kevin.
