Critic related to 'Space Cowboys'

Billie Nichols of Burbank is a Realtor associate.

"Space Cowboys" was a must see for me. As a mature person, I am able

to relate to those four "cowboys" and their experiences with the physical

and mental aspects of their journey into a field considered primarily for

the young.

I loved the relationships between the stars, as each of them more, or

less, played the characters they have played so well before.

And, of course, there's the excitement in the final space scenes,

which the audience applauded.

'Hollowman' had great special effects

Steve Keyes, 18, of La Canada Flintridge is a senior at Crescenta

Valley High School.

"Hollowman" is an extremely enjoyable movie. It is the typical horror

flick, but it has enough twists and a good enough plot to set it apart

from the regular slasher movies.

The visuals were by far some of the best even by today's' standards.

The plot has the same "Hack and Slash" elements that most horror movies

have had so far, but it stands out from the rest.

Kevin Bacon is great as is the rest of the cast. The movie was

predictable yet entertaining all at the same time. This movie is not a

waste of money.

Surprisingly 'Coyote Ugly ' was fun

Jeff Gardner of Burbank is a salesman for a medical software company.

Admittedly, I had little expectation for a movie bearing the ad

campaign, "The party never stops." Looking like a typical, formulaic teen

summer film, I wasn't expecting "Coyote Ugly" to have such a fun,

feel-good heart. This semi-inspirational story of "making it in the Big

Apple" ended up being a lot of fun to watch.

The dance sequences, while being quite cheesy, wre also reminiscent of

cornball classics like "Flashdance" and "Dirty Dancing."

While it did end up falling short of a great movie, it was quite

unbelievable and fantastical enough to keep me guessing what on earth

would happen next.
