Joseph G. Roffredo, 89, died Aug. 13, 2000.

Mr. Roffredo was born in Argentina. He came to the United States to

work in the motion picture business and was employed by Universal Studios

for 44 years. He worked as dolly operator for such directors as Alfred

Hitchcock and Stanley Kramer. He loved soccer, baseball, horse racing and

dancing the tango.


He is survived by his daughters, Angie Schilz, Connie Roffredo and Sue

Garcia; sons, Edward, Carlos, Joseph, Jr.; and six grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Finbar

Catholic Church.


Edward Dickey, 70, died Aug. 10, 2000, in Burbank.

Mr. Dickey was born in Glendale. He lived in Burbank his entire life.

He owned his own business, J & E Automotive and also worked for Modern

Motors in Glendale and Case De Cadillac in Sherman Oaks. He served in the

U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Pearce; and grandson, Daniel



Mary Frances Tellez, 82, died Aug. 15, 2000, in Reseda.

Mrs Tellez was born in Miami. She was a Burbank resident for 74 years.

She was a homemaker for 60 years. She was a member of the Joslyn Adult

Center and St. Finbar's Italian Catholic Federation.

She is survived by her sons, Davis, Louis and Bernard "Sonny" Tellez;

brothers, Charles, Ricki, Richard and Raul Guzman; 12 grandchildren; and

eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation and rosary were held Friday at The Valley Funeral Home. A

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Robert Bellarmine

Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Alzheimer's
