assaults that were possibly gang-related, police said.

Avenue, police said.

The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Providence St. Joseph

Medical Center by two other men who may have gang members, police said.

"We don't know for certain that this crime is related to the others,"

Lt. Robert Giles said. "We're still investigating."

The Pacoima man was later taken to County-USC Medical Center where he

was released at 2 p.m. Monday.

At Around 4 p.m. Sunday, witnesses told police that six men brutally

beat and kicked an 18-year-old Burbank man in an apartment courtyard in

the 200 block of East Santa Anita Avenue.

Police found the man unconscious and covered with blood. Witnesses

told police they saw one of the men punch the victim, knocking him down.

All the men kicked and punched the man, witnesses told police. One man

stomped on the man's head.

Police said the man was taken to County-USC for head trauma. He was

released at 8:20 p.m. Monday.

"There was no sign the victim was involved in any gang," Giles said.

The suspects however, had gang tattoos, Giles said.

In a third assault on Sunday in the 600 block of Verdugo Avenue, a

witness told police that she watched as eight men punched and kicked two

other men causing one to bleed from the face. All of the men left the

scene before police arrived.

No one was arrested in any of the incidents.
