MEDIA DISTRICT WEST -- Two men, one of them armed with a handgun,

forced two employees of a Togos sandwich shop into a freezer before

helping themselves to the contents of the cash register, police said.

The two men entered the unlocked front door of the closed sandwich

shop at 353 Pass Ave. around 9 p.m. Saturday.

One of the men pointed a small handgun at the two remaining employees

in the store, a man and a woman, police said. The gunman allegedly

threatened the employees and then shut them in store's freezer.

The men took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register,

police said. They also took the male employee's wallet, which did not

contain any cash.

The Togos employees told police they waited to make sure the men were

gone before opening the freezer door and calling authorities.

The suspects did not lock the freezer door, police said.

Although, the men were reportedly wearing distinctive clothing, police

said there were no suspects. The employees told police the men wore all

black clothing and unusual headgear. One of the men had on a cap with a

hood over it and the other had a cap with a beanie on top.

"We've notified other agencies and we are investigating further," Lt.

Robert Giles said.
