Magnolia Blvd. Harris, who received massive head and internal injuries,
died en route to Holy Cross Trauma Center.
"The sad part about this is that we were supposed to have dinner
Wednesday night," sister Erin Gallagher said. "We didn't have that time."
Harris was born in Glendora and spent much of her childhood riding
horses with her brother and two sisters, family members said. She
graduated from Rosemead High School and was an employee of Crazy Jack's
for three years.
After some tough years, Harris had turned her life around, Gallagher
said.
"She had some drug and alcohol problems when she was young, but she
totally straitened out," she said. "I could always depend on her."
Crazy Jack's owner Kammie Caudillo, who was in the office with Harris
when the car hit, said she and her husband have been distraught since the
accident.
"Who would think that you'd just be sitting at your desk at work and
get hit by a car," she said. "It's so unbelievable."
Blaylock was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. She was
released from Burbank City Jail after posting $100,000 bail, police said.
Harris is survived by her daughters, Megean Gallagher and Deanna
Harris; mother, Joyce Gallagher Kasser; sisters, Erin Gallagher and Debra
Post-Winters; and brother, Troy Gallagher.
