HILLSIDE DISTRICT -- Satirist Stan Freberg will share his humorous
take on modern life at Woodbury University.
The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Burbank
university, 7500 Glenoaks Boulevard. An hourlong discussion will begin at
7 p.m.
The comedy recording pioneer will also receive the university's Ray
Bradbury Creativity Award, named after the acclaimed science fiction
author. Freberg has sold millions of comedy records and recently appeared
on CBS' "Sunday Morning."
Tickets are $25 or $75. Proceeds will benefit Woodbury University's
Library Associates, a volunteer organization.
