received a broken nose and a black eye, as well.
The man did not report the incident until Tuesday, Jette said.
The man told police he was talking to friends in the 300 block of
North Glenwood Place when another man approached him and accused the
victim of knowing about the Saturday night armed robbery.
"I think there was a relationship between them because of some of the
things that were said," Jette said. He added that the circumstances of
the incidents were unclear due to all the people involved.
"Three or four people down the line, we get a very distorted view of
what happened," he said.
Police are searching for the four suspected gang members who allegedly
committed the Saturday holdup.
A man told police that four men knocked on his door, drew their guns
and ordered everyone on the floor.
He told police that he and his friends were sitting in his apartment
living room, smoking methamphetamine, when the robbers showed up.
