Savola is accused of stabbing 37-year-old Kurt Burns of Burbank

multiple times after the two started arguing over the death of a mutual

friend, Burbank Police Sgt. Bill Taylor said.

When police responded to Savola's home in the 1200 block of West

Burbank Boulevard about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, they saw Burns staggering

across the street, Taylor said.

"The suspect stabbed the victim inside the residence, chased him

outside the residence and stabbed him some more," he said.

Burns was taken to County-USC Medical Center, where he reportedly is

recovering from multiple stab wounds to the torso, Taylor said.
