Flutist featured in next Community Concert

GLENDALE -- Flutist Debra Reuter-Pivetta will be featured in the final

concert of the season for the Glendale Community Concert Assn. at 2:30

p.m. Sunday, April 1, in the Glendale High School Auditorium, 1440 E.

Broadway.

Reuter-Pivetta has had a diverse career as a soloist, chamber artist,

orchestral player and teacher. She has received prizes in numerous

competitions and has performed as a concert soloist with many orchestras

in the United States and Europe.

The annual membership drive is in progress for the new community

concert season, which opens Oct. 1 with the Chinese Golden Dragon

Acrobats. Also scheduled are Three Hits and a Miss, a '40s retro group

reminiscent of the Andrew sisters, on Nov. 4; Three Mo' Tenors,

African-American operatic tenors, on Jan. 6; Frula, a folk dance company,

on Feb. 24; The Song Company, an Australian ensemble singing music of the

16th century, close harmony and popular songs, on April 7; and pianist

James Lent, specializing in Gershwin, on May 12.

Season subscription rate is $40 for adults and $12 for students under

18. Members also may attend Community Concerts in other areas at no
