BURBANK -- Three residents have been playing featured roles in The

Colony Theatre Company's production of "The Man Who Came to Dinner" at

the Burbank Center Stage.

Longtime Burbank resident and voiceover artist Jodi Carlisle plays

Lorraine Sheldon. Chad Borden of Toluca Lake plays Beverly Carlton and

Nick DeGruccio is Banjo, the character based on Harpo Marx.

The play, written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, is directed by

David Rose. The story centers on the hysteria caused in the Stanley

household after a freak accident lands venomous theater critic Sheridan

Whiteside in a wheelchair and forces his extended stay with the family.

The production is suitable for all ages.

Show times are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m.

Sundays through April 8. Ticket prices range from $22 to $28. For

Area musicians featured

with California Philharmonic

Area musicians will perform with the California Philharmonic

Orchestra, directed by Victor Vener, when it plays in concert at 8

tonight at the Haugh Performing Arts Center in Glendora.

The music of Handel, Haydn and Beethoven are featured on the program

titled "Classical Masterworks."

Local musicians in the orchestra are David Washburn, Kathleen

McNerney, Theresa Treuenfels, Diana Yao and Alvin Veeh, all of Glendale,

and Terri Parker, Janitta Keck, Marina Manukian, Herman Markosian,

Constance Deeter and Philip Feather, all of Burbank.

Tickets are $32 to $42 and are available at the door. For tickets,

College Campus at 1000 W. Foothill Blvd., Glendora.

Tango Dreams sizzles

at The Alex Theatre

Fernanda Ghi and Guillermo Merlo, partners in life as well as on the

dance floor, lead the performance of "Tango Dreams," completing a series

of shows Sunday at The Alex Theatre in Glendale.

The couple uses the steps of tango, waltz and malorga dances to

express the emotions behind a variety of characters and relationships.

Choreography is by Ghi, Merlo and Yanco Inone. Musical arrangements

are by Christian Zarate, with vocal accompaniment by Martin de Leon. The

show is produced by Anne Charmillot and Tango Dreams Dance Co. Inc.

Show times are 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday.
