Crawford and Greg Everhart had 85s, Robert Enriquez had an 87 and Mike

Kim had a 90.

SOFTBALL

Hart 3, Burroughs 2: Burroughs lost a tough Foothill League game

Thursday at Olive Park, as Hart had to go to extra innings to get the

win.

Hart scored the winning run in the 10th inning when Casey Pickard

crossed the plate on a wild pitch.

Burroughs (9-8, 0-3 in league) played well against Hart (12-1, 3-0),

scoring two runs in the fourth inning to take a 2-1 lead.

But Hart tied the game at 2 with a run in the sixth inning.

Burroughs hammered out eight hits.

Village Christian 8, Providence 0: The Pioneers were one-hit Tuesday

in a nonleague game on the road.

BOYS' TENNIS

Burbank 17, Canyon 1: With the win on the road Thursday, the Bulldogs

have yet to stumble on their way to their 14th straight Foothill League

championship.

Burbank (7-2, 5-0) was led by No. 1 singles Shara Surabi, who had

little trouble rolling to three 6-1 scores.

It was the 108th straight league win for Burbank, a streak that dates

back more than a decade.

Burbank 13, Hart 5: Tuesday's match was suppose to be a showdown for

the two top teams in the Foothill League. However, the Bulldogs had no

problem handing the Indians a loss at home.

Valencia 15, Burroughs 3: The Indians fell Tuesday in the Foothill

League match at Valencia.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

Canyon 84, Burroughs 52: Despite a double win by distance runner Tony

Ahr Thursday, the Indians fell in the Foothill League meet at Canyon.

Ahr finished first in the 800 meters in 2 minutes 2.9 seconds and won

the 1,600 in 4:38.1.

Keith Jarbo had a good result in the 110 high hurdles, winning the

race in 16.1.

GIRLS' TRACK AND FIELD

Canyon 109, Burroughs 26: Carolyn Brown won the only event for the

Indians Thursday in the Foothill League loss at Canyon.

Brown -- the defending CIF Southern Section Division II 800 champion

-- won the 3,200 in 12.00.0.

BASEBALL

Burroughs 2, Saugus 1: Thanks in large part to Kevin Habitz, the

Indians were able to secure the Foothill League victory Tuesday at

Burroughs.

Not only did Habitz hit two doubles, but he delivered the game-winning

RBI for Burroughs.

Canyon 11, Burbank 1: The Bulldogs could manage just three hits

Tuesday on the road in a Foothill League loss.

The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy

rule.

Canyon jumped out to a huge lead after scoring three runs in the first

inning, three more in the second and four in the third.

The Bulldogs scored their lone run in the fifth inning.
