Councilman Robert Kramer was reelected to his council seat last time

by a large margin. He lost his recent race for city treasurer, also by a

large margin.

The council election is guided somewhat by popularity. The city's

treasurer's race was based on a candidate's knowledge of city finances.

Donna Anderson won because of her obvious qualifications for the job as

an assistant city treasurer.

I would suggest that Mr. Kramer, who has stated that he'd like a

higher paying job, consider comedy writing.

He once said that the people made it pretty clear that they'd rather

see him on the council than go to the treasurer's office and that he

respects that opinion.

Now that's funny.
