Staff changes in Burbank Unified

BURBANK -- Burbank schools will see some new administrative faces in

the fall.

At John Burroughs High School, Mike Bertram will be the new assistant

principal for instruction, and Gary Swanson will be assistant principal

for discipline.

Bertram taught in the Glendale Unified School District and was an

athletic administrator for the South Pasadena Unified School District. He

also served as an assistant principal in the La Canada Unified School

District.

Swanson taught eight years at Saugus High School prior to coming to

Burroughs High.

Jane Clausen will take over as principal at George Washington

Elementary School.

Clausen has served as assistant principal at Washington for two years

and as a classroom teacher at John Muir and Luther Burbank middle

schools.
