Bob Hope home from hospital

BURBANK -- Comedian Bob Hope was released from the hospital Thursday

after being treated for 12 days for pneumonia.

Hope, 98, checked into Providence St. Joseph Medical Center Aug. 26

after he had difficulty breathing at his Toluca Lake home. Hope's

treatment included antibiotics, intravenous fluids and respiratory

therapy.

According to a statement released from Hope family spokesman Ward

Grant, Hope will continue to recover from his illness at home for the

next few weeks and was asking for coffee ice cream on his first day at

home.
