Nov. 16, then applicants will be interviewed at the Nov. 27 council

meeting. A decision could be made that night or at a later date. If the

council has not made an appointment by Dec. 1, Mayor Bob Kramer will be

responsible for choosing the new city clerk.

Sarquiz's last day will be Wednesday, after which Deputy City Clerk

Kay Moioffer will step in as acting city clerk.

On Thursday, Sarquiz will begin her new position as deputy financial

services director. She has served as city clerk since May 1, 1997.
