ART EXHIBIT

Toluca Lake artist

has solo exhibition

A solo exhibition of new watercolors by Toluca Lake artist Gayle

Garner Roski is continuing through April 21 at the Tirage Gallery, One

West California Blvd., in Pasadena.

A series of dessert paintings was created in preparation for the

artist's 60th birthday celebration on Sept. 11. She wanted to paint the

passions of her life and decided the best visual descriptions would be

sinful hot fudge sundaes.

But the tragic events of that day compelled the artist to put

frivolity aside. So the beautiful desserts segue to the graphic depiction

of motion and solace following that horrible day.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Monday through Friday..

For more information, call (626) 405-1020.

Aries Gallery sponsors

second art exhibition

Academy Award-winning filmmaker and artist Fred Wolf has opened his

second art exhibition at his gallery in Burbank.

The display also shows the works of Kunimi Terada and Peggy Nichols.

Terada's intention is to create poetic entities in which form and color

become one. Nichols, an award-winning artist, gains inspiration from

Cezanne, Mary Cassatt and Degas.

Wolf's art emphasizes compositional challenges in figurative

situations.

Continuing through May 8, the exhibit is by appointment only. The

gallery is at 4222 W. Burbank Blvd. For more information or reservations,

call 846-0611.
