Earth Day to be celebrated at nature center

HILLSIDE DISTRICT -- Earth Day will be celebrated Saturday with all

day activities at Stough Canyon Nature Center.

At 11 a.m., all ages can participate in a canyon cleanup, followed by

a children's nature hike at 1 p.m.

A gardening and composting workshop for all ages starts at 1:30 p.m.

Recyclable art and collage workshop begins at 2:30 p.m., for a fee of

$1.

Other featured highlights include live reptiles, natural history

displays and informational materials. Refreshments will be served.
