Planning Board member selected

CIVIC CENTER -- City Council members appointed Margaret Ann Taylor to

serve on the city's Planning Board at the council's Tuesday meeting.

The vote was 4-1, with Mayor David Laurell, Vice Mayor Stacey Murphy

and Councilmen Dave Golonski and Jef Vander Borght voting in favor of

Taylor, and Councilwoman Marsha Ramos voting for one of the other

candidates, Michael M. Bergfeld.

Taylor's experience includes working in the planning field for 11

years, handling applications for California private residents,

developers, institutions and businesses.

The five-member board recommends long-range general plans for the

city's development, including granting or denying permits and variances.

Planning Board meetings are open to the public the second and fourth

Monday of each month in City Council chambers at City Hall, 275 E. Olive

Ave. They are broadcast live on Charter Communications Channel 6.
