MAGNOLIA PARK -- Educating children about the signs of predatory

behavior will be discussed at a safety program Tuesday at American

Lutheran Church.

A panel discussion will be led by Marissa Rosoff, coordinator of

school safety at Burbank Unified School District, and Bruce Osgood,

principal at John Muir Middle School.

Also on hand for the 7 p.m. event will be representatives from the

Burbank Family Services Agency, the Burbank Police Department and

Lutheran Social Services.

The program is a result of the December arrest of the church's former

youth director David Shelton. Shelton pleaded guilty in February to

having sex with a girl in the youth group. He was sentenced to three

months probation and ordered to stay away from the girl.

Parents and children older than 10 are invited to attend. The church

is at 755 N. Whitnall Highway. For more information, call 846-0295.
