Auditions set for 'Jack and the Beanstalk'

A casting call is going out for children in kindergarten through

eighth grade for the Missoula Children's Theatre musical production

of "Jack and the Beanstalk."

Auditions begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the Starlight Bowl.

Up to 50 youngsters will be selected to join in the weeklong

workshop, which culminates in a free performance at the venue Aug.

Rehearsals are from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., starting Tuesday.

Children must be available for rehearsals all day Aug. 10. If a child

is cast in the show, the fee is $20.

This summer marks the Missoula Children's Theatre 30th touring

season, and its sixth year appearing in Burbank, said Jonna

Miller-Michelson, the theater's tour marketing director.
