GERSEN GROSMARK
Gersen Grosmark, 76, died July 31, 2002, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Grosmark was born May 14, 1926, in St. Paul, Minn. He was a
Burbank resident since 1953.
Until his retirement in 1986, Mr. Grosmark taught math and
business for 33 years at John Burroughs High School.
Mr. Grosmark was a member of Temple Emanu El where he served as
president from 1965 to 1967.
In 1996, he and his wife Phyllis were honored by the temple as
Couple of the Year, receiving certificates from Burbank's mayor, Gov.
Pete Wilson and President Bill Clinton.
He is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 50 years; sister Eileen
Letossky of Laguna Beach; daughters and sons-in-law Denise and Gary
Wakefield of Antioch, and Lynn and Dan Kubrin of Valencia; son and
daughter-in-law Doug and Robin Grosmark of San Diego; and
grandchildren Melissa, Geoff, Jake, Jennifer and Katie.
Funeral services were Friday at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park.
