Nominating period open for City Council and School Board seats

Residents interested in running for the Burbank City Council or

Burbank Unified School District School Board can pick up candidate

information packets at the City Clerk's office.

The nominating filing period opened Monday and runs until Dec. 2.

The two council and three School Board seats are open to any

Burbank resident who is a registered voter.

Information packets include a calendar of deadline dates, campaign

disclosure forms, and nomination papers, which require signatures of

at least 50 registered voters.

The primary election is Feb. 25, and the general election is April

8.

No one can serve on more than one board, commission or committee.

The packets are available at the City Clerk's office in City Hall,

275 E. Olive Ave. For more information, call 238-5851.
