Robert John Cherney

Robert John Cherney, 72, died Dec. 28, 2003, in Burbank.

He was born July 29, 1931, in Omaha, and was a longtime resident

of Burbank who served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his sons, John, James, Richard and Raymond; and

11 grandchildren.

Services were Wednesday at St. Finbar Catholic Church.

A. Albert Spar

A. Albert Spar, 87, died Dec. 27, 2003, at Ventura Community

Hospital.

He was born Feb. 21, 1916, in New York, and was a longtime Burbank

resident.

He worked as an attorney for 60 years and was an avid horseman.

He is survived by his wife, June Spar; daughter, Sue Habuni; son,

Michael Spar; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were Friday at Mount Sinai Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to

local animal-rescue shelters.

Lesley Hiller Menninger

Lesley Hiller Menninger, 68, died Dec. 27, 2003. She was born in

1935 in Las Vegas and was a former Burbank resident.

She worked in biological research in Burbank.

She is survived by her husband, John Robert Menninger; daughters,

Margaret Eleanor Menninger and Elizabeth M. Wallace; and two

grandchildren.

A memorial service is tentatively planned for spring.

KYOKO (KAY) TADA

Kyoko (Kay) Tada, 84, died Dec. 24, 2003, in Calabasas.

She was born April 13, 1919, in Los Angeles and was a resident of

Burbank for 43 years.

She was an active supporter of Burbank and volunteered at the

Joslyn Adult Center.

She is survived by her husband, Takeo Tada; son, Ken; daughter,

Carol; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Church of the

Hills, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los

Angeles.
