A Bronze Club Achievement Award for 2002-03 was also received. Bob
Tomer, Sandie Tomer, Joanne Bailey and Betty Trempe represented the
club.
At a recent scholarship luncheon, the Burbank Sertoma Club
presented $1,000 scholarships to Natalie Teichmann of Burbank High
School and Jasma Wise of John Burroughs High School. Family members
were on hand to support their college-bound children as well as
Burbank High School counselor Jeani Chambers.
The new line of officers for the 2004-05 term are President Bob
Tomer; First Vice President Joanne Bailey; Second Vice President
Lorelei Kelley; Third Vice President Sheila Feuchtinger; Treasurer
Nino Corradi; Secretary Sandie Tomer and Sergeant-at-Arms Jim
Feuchtinger.

Burbank Noon Rotary
honors Providence students
Burbank Noon Rotary recently presented more than $17,600 in
scholarships to students from all six local high schools. Among the
lucky few were Joey Christopher Y. Almario, Tommy Boucher, Aram Der
Avedissian and Jenny Farah from Providence High School. All four of
the graduating seniors had grade-point averages better than 4.0, were
involved in a variety of school activities and plan to use the money
to supplement post-high school education.
"I'm very pleased that we're able to help these young students
along in their education journey," said Noon Rotary member Lisa Ann
Fowles. "With the cost of education rising each year, it's important
to do what we can to support Burbank's best and brightest."
