Seminar targets healthcare costs
BURBANK -- To help businesses fight the rising costs of
healthcare, Professionals in Human Resources Management is hosting a
seminar titled "Managing Health Care Costs."
The seminar is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Castaway
restaurant, 1250 E. Harvard Road. Registration begins at 11 a.m.
Tickets are $20 for members with reservations, $25 for members
without. Guests pay $27 with reservations and $30 without. Student

Cold Stone helps 'Make-A-Wish'
BURBANK -- Cold Stone Creamery will host its third annual "Ice
Cream Social" to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation from 5 to 8 p.m.
July 29.
Customers who drop in will receive a free slice of ice cream cake.
Customers will be encouraged to make a donation to the foundation.
The store, at 131 E. Palm Ave., will donate $2 for every
Make-A-Wish ice cream cake purchased in July.
