The Bob Hope Airport and Southwest Airlines will host its eighth

annual blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the airport's

Skyroom, on the second floor of Terminal A, 2627 Hollywood Way. For

the first time, the drive will also include a bone marrow screening

to benefit Nick Salazar, a Southwest Airlines employee who was

diagnosed with acute leukemia last year. Salazar has been with the

airline since 2001 and currently is too ill to work and is undergoing

chemotherapy treatments. The screening will be done to match Salazar

for a bone marrow transplant. For more information, call Lucy
