No Emmy for teen show

September 04, 2004

The city-produced Teens in Action television show lost out last

weekend for a Los Angeles Area Emmy Award.

"The Truth About Drugs and Alcohol" was nominated in the Public,

Municipal and Operator Produced Cable category.

The winner in the category was "The Lucky Man" for CityTV, the

government access cable station owned and operated by the city of

Santa Monica.

"It was neat for the kids to see they can produce a show of the

caliber of what is recognized by the Emmys," said show producer

Colleen Duffy Felix.

The next Teens In Action episode, "Sex: What You Don't Know Can

Hurt You," airs on Charter Communications Channel 6 at 4 and 10 p.m.,

weekdays; 9 a.m., 5 p.m., and 11 p.m. Saturdays; and 8 a.m., noon,

and 7 p.m. Sundays.
