Lucille Dean chosen Woman of the Year

RANCHO DISTRICT -- Sister Lucille Dean, retiring principal of

Providence High School, has been named Woman of the Year by the Zonta

Club of Burbank Area.

She has been involved in education in Burbank since 1955 when she

accepted her first teaching position at St. Finbar School.

Since then, she has spent 25 years at Providence High School, 18


of them as principal. Under her leadership, the school has been

designated a National Blue Ribbon school.

Sister Lucille Dean will be honored during a Nov. 6 lunch- eon at
