Board of Equalization offers tax fair

HILLSIDE DISTRICT -- John Chiang, a member of the Fourth District

of the State Board of Equalization, together with several federal,

state, and local government agencies, will team up to offer a free,

one-day tax fair to San Fernando-area small businesses.

Representatives of the BOE, Employment Development Department,

Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service and the Small Business

Administration will be available to answer questions.

The small business fair will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday

at the Holiday Inn Burbank, 150 E. Angeleno Ave, Burbank.

Airport commission to vote on study

AIRPORT AUTHORITY -- The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport

Authority is scheduled to vote today to accept a study of potential

environmental impacts of proposed projects at the Bob Hope Airport.

The study was done in conjunction with an agreement being

negotiated between the airport and the city.

The commission meets at 9 a.m. in the Skyroom on the second floor

of the main terminal, 2627 Hollywood Way.

Restaurant offers free Halloween meals

DOWNTOWN BURBANK -- Pomodoro Cucina Italiana will provide free

meals Sunday to children dressed in Halloween costumes stopping by

the restaurant. One adult entree must be purchased to receive the

free children's meal.

Pomodoro Cucina Italiana is located at 201 E. Magnolia Blvd. and

is open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Burbank High School to present 'The Best Man'

MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH --The Burbank High School Drama Department

will be performing Gore Vidal's "The Best Man," at 7 p.m. Thursday,

Friday and Saturday, in the Burbank High School auditorium, 902 N.

3rd St., Burbank.

Tickets are $7, and $5 for students with an Associated Student

Body card.

This will be the second theatrical performance in the newly

renovated auditorium.
