A Los Angeles man remains in jail on $2-million bond on a charge of

fatally shooting a Burbank man.

Steven Sangwook Kim pleaded innocent to the shooting of Man Nguyen

during an appearance Thursday in Pasadena Superior Court. He is

scheduled to appear in court again Dec. 30.

Nguyen, 31, was found the morning of Dec. 11 in the backyard of

his residence in the 1200 block of Lamer Street, dead from a single

gunshot wound to the left side of his head. Kim and Nguyen knew each

other, but police did not disclose details of their relationship.

A warrant was issued for Kim's arrest by police Monday and he

turned himself in at the Burbank department the following day. Kim is

a member of the popular South Korean hip-hop group Uptown 3000.

Kim's parents, Richard and Lois Kim, were also arrested Saturday

at their home in Los Angeles, on suspicion of aiding and abetting a

felon, but were later released without charges being filed,

authorities said.

Attempts to reach the parents were unsuccessful. Anyone with

information is asked to call the Burbank Police at 238-3000.
