Donations accepted for police museum
Contributions can still be made to help the Burbank Police
Officers Assn. reach its $100,000 goal for a national police museum.
The proposed museum will house photos, plaques and other objects
left at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on Judiciary
Square in Washington, D.C.
The union's fundraising campaign culminates July 9 with "An
Evening of Respect" at the L.A. Equestrian Center in Burbank. To make
a contribution, contact Michael Cusumano at (818) 841-5800.
Checks made out to BPOA/National Memorial Fund can also be sent to
Vic Georgino, finance chair, Evening of Respect, 842 Grinnell Drive,
Burbank, CA 91501.
An egg hunt -- and much more
The seventh annual Easter Eggs-Plosion takes place March 26 from
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Johnny Carson Park.
The free event features an Easter egg hunt, entertainment,
concession booths, face painting, giant inflatable rides and an
Easter bonnet parade.
Easter Eggs-Plosion is sponsored by the Burbank Park, Recreation
and Community Services Department and Radio Disney AM 1110.
