Here are a few of the issues the council will consider Tuesday night.

FILM INDUSTRY RESOLUTION

The council will consider a resolution backing a call by the Film

and Television Action Committee for an investigation by the U.S.

Trade Representatives office into subsidies offered by Canada violate

free-trade agreements.

The committee is trying to counter runaway production, the luring

of film and television production to foreign countries where expenses

are cheaper.

The committee seeks support from the council because of the large

number of entertainment-industry businesses located in Burbank.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The council will likely adopt the resolution.

SHARED

PARKING LOT

The council will consider entering into a shared agreement with

the Burbank Community Church, 3310 W. Magnolia Blvd., for use of the

church's parking lot for visitors to the Magnolia Park business

district.

In exchange for making improvements to the lot, the church would

allow it to be used by the public when not needed for its own

services.

The cost of improvements carries a $247,000 price tag for paving,

striping, curbing and driveways, additional lighting and landscape

improvements.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Since parking in the Magnolia Park business district is limited,

the council will probably approve the agreement.
