Chief Mike Davis.

Offering his congratulations to the award recipients was Kermit

Floyd, Rotary district governor, District 5260.

"Burbank has been fortunate to have three outstanding citizens,

all of whom are Rotarians who have made 'Service Above Self' their

governing principle in their daily lives," he said. "I congratulate

them for their service and their compassion."

Sunder Ramani, master of ceremonies, reminded the group of the

importance of Rotary.

"Rotary represents not what's best in the world, but what's best

for the world," Ramani said.

Ramani and member Nat Rubinfeld led guests through an exciting

live auction.

The gala, coordinated by member Erica Montes and the Honorary

Centennial Committee, featured a dinner serenade by the talented

students of Burbank High School's Show Choir, In Sync and John

Burroughs High School Jazz Band I.

Proceeds from the event will be used to develop and implement a

Centennial Project that will benefit the Burbank community for years

to come.

The Rotary Club of Burbank meets at noon every Tuesday at the

Burbank YMCA, 321 E. Magnolia Blvd. For more information, contact
