reimbursed $919,000 from the state for the project. The total cost is
$1.04 million. The resurfacing work is expected to be finished in
early December. Due to concerns raised by the council, resurfacing
will not interfere with the annual Holiday in the Park event set for
mid-November.

HOUSING STUDY SESSION
The council decided to proceed with meeting with the city's
Planning Board to discuss progress in achieving affordable-housing
goals.
WHAT IT MEANS
To gauge the city's progress in providing affordable housing,
staff suggested a joint meeting with the Planning Board.
The council discussed whether the meeting should be held after new
appointments to the Planning Board are made in late May.
In the end, the council agreed to meet with the board in early May
during its annual goal-setting session to work out when the joint
meeting will take place.
