The Falcon Theatre's Family Summer Theatre presents the world

premiere of the musical "Groovaloo" in preview performances. The

Groovaloos, an eclectic group of hip hop dancers, has recently been

featured in Gap and iPod commercials, the American Music Awards and

films like "Charlie's Angels." Previews are 8 p.m. Thursdays through

Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20, $15 for students, seniors and subscribers and $10 for children 12 and under. The

production opens July 8 and continues through Aug. 28. Regular

performance tickets are $25, $20 for students, seniors and

subscribers and $15 for children 12 and under. For reservations, call

Singer/songwriter Brook Ramel performs on guitar from 8:30 to

11:30 p.m. every Friday in June upstairs at the Bennigan's patio at

the Glendale Marketplace, one half block south of Broadway on Brand

Boulevard.

SATURDAY

Jax Bar & Grill has live entertainment every night of the week.

Hours are 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 p.m. to 1:30

a.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 8 p.m. to midnight Sundays. Jax is at

ON STAGE

"The Pajama Game" continues its run at Glendale Centre Theatre.

This musical comedy by George Abbott and Richard Bissell is directed

by Burbank resident George Strattan of Burbank. Performances are at 8

p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 3 p.m. Saturdays through July

9. Tickets range from $18 to $22 and can be reserved by calling

244-8481. The theater is at 324 N. Orange St., Glendale.

The Colony Theatre Company continues the run of "Sherlock's Last

Case" by Charles Marowitz at 8 p.m. tonight in Burbank. Someone is

trying to kill Sherlock Holmes and he must solve the case of his

life. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 and 7

p.m. Sundays through July 10. Tickets are $30 to $40. For

"The Little Mermaid," a musical for families, continues at the

Falcon Theatre in Burbank. Book, lyrics and music and direction are

by Dimitri Toscas. Performances are at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and 1

p.m. Sundays through Aug. 21. Tickets are $12 and $10 for children 12

4252 Riverside Drive, Burbank.

"Venus in Orange" is continuing at the Victory Theatre Center in

Burbank. It's a world-premiere performance/music piece by Paula

Cizmar and Laura Shamas. The play follows a search for the goddess

through dreams, myths and life stories. Performances are 8 p.m.

Fridays and Saturdays and 2 and 7 p.m. Sundays through July 24.
