Spanish ballet at the Alex Theatre
Burbank-based Media City Ballet will present "Pasion de Espana"
("Passion of Spain") at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Alex Theatre, 216 N.
Brand Blvd., Glendale.
Choreographers Askar Kettebekov, director, and Natasha
Middleton-Kettebekov, company artistic director, have created a
program of Spanish ballet featuring excerpts from "Bolero," "Don
Quixote," "Carmen" and "Swan Lake."
Executing the dances will be Media City Ballet principal dancers
along with advanced students from the company's 2005 Apprentice
Summer Intensive.

Assembly candidates visit Democratic club
Friday's meeting of the Glendale Democratic Club will feature Paul
Krikorian and Scott Wildman, both of whom have officially entered the
race for the 43rd Assembly District seat. Burbank is included in this
district.
