Providence 70, Faith Baptist 46: The Pioneers had no trouble earning the win Thursday in an opening-round game of the 17th annual Paul Sutton Tip-Off Classic at Providence High.

Providence 59, Pasadena Marshall 30: Heather Hansen scored 14 points and had four steals and Vanessa Amran added 11 points and six rebounds for the Pioneers (1-1) Thursday in a pool-play win in the San Marino Tournament.
San Marino 50, Providence 38: Liz Reuter had 11 points Wednesday for the Pioneers in a losing cause in pool play of the San Marino Tournament.
Burroughs in Valencia High Five Classic: The Indians went 1-2 in pool play of the event this week.
In a 67-25 win against Antelope Valley, Shawnee Carter had 20 points, Erin Thompson had 14 and Britney Morgan added eight.
Morgan had 10 points in a 49-37 loss to Alemany.
Burroughs (2-1) rebounded by defeating Clovis East, 71-49. Erin Thompson had 18 points and 11 rebounds, Samantha Cross had 10 points and seven assists and Kyla Hernandez had 10 points and four rebounds in the victory.
