Local company teams with baseball

Burbank-based digital entertainment company CenterStaging Corp. announced on Monday that the company will partner with Major League Baseball's media arm, MLB Advanced Media LP, to launch their new website.

The website, rehearsals.com, was built and will be powered by MLB.com and will feature musicians as they prepare for concerts, tours, appearances and recording sessions. The website will also include interviews with artists, music news and weekly profiles of artists. The website's current program includes clips of groups like "The New Cars," "Earth, Wind and Fire," and "Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers."

Local physician accepted to program

Orthopedic surgeon William Stetson, a senior partner at the Burbank-based Stetson-Powell Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, was recently accepted to the Leadership Fellows Program of the American Academy of Orthopedic surgeons.

The fellowship program will give Stetson an opportunity to work with, and learn from, national leaders in the orthopedic field during a year-long training program. The program is designed to identify young leaders in the field and develop their skill. Stetson also serves on the Education Committee and the Learning Center Committee of the Arthroscopy Assn. of North America.
