Restaurant celebrates its 60th birthday
Burbank's Smoke House Restaurant will celebrate its 60th year in business on Oct. 12 at the restaurant, 4420 W. Lakeside Drive, Burbank.
Celebrate the restaurant's birthday in the lounge during Happy Hour from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by complimentary champagne, birthday cake and a raffle prize drawing from 7 to 8 p.m.
If your birthday is Oct. 12, 1946, you'll receive a free dinner for two from the special menu.

Juice and smoothie bar sets up shop
Juice It Up!, a juice and smoothie bar, will open a location in Burbank on Friday, celebrating the first day of business with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The festivities will continue on Saturday with a live band, face painting and free smoothie samples between 3 and 8 p.m.
Mayor Todd Campbell is scheduled to be on hand for the ribbon cutting. The store will also create approximately 10 jobs in the area.
